KAYA Provides Stability in Hard Times
Among the many challenges that COVID-19 caused, the world has been facing a global shortage of components and supply chain issues over the last two years. The pandemic, which has disrupted manufacturing, has led to a further increase in the demand for chips-based products, such as routers, screens, and other electronic devices.
The global chip shortage affects over 160 industries, and it has slowed down production in major manufacturers such as Sony, Samsung, TI, Intel Xilinx, Microsemi, Micron, etc. The shortage has led companies such as Apple to announce a significant decrease in iPhone production, and Renault to decrease its manufacturing by half a million cars.
The camera industry is affected too, as many manufacturers report stock shortages due to lacking components. Some of the companies had to partly or fully shut down production and distribution under these circumstances. Fortunately, KAYA Instruments is operating as usual. We can continue to deliver the vast majority of our products within a reasonable delivery time, thanks to our team's uncompromising efforts, which allowed us to stack on components in advance and be able to keep our production going. As KAYA keeps growing through these challenging times, this is an opportunity to introduce our new generation CoaXPress v2.0 frame-grabber Komodo II 4CH.
Komodo II is a first-class Frame Grabber supporting CoaXPress 12G standard and certified by the Japan Industrial Imaging Association (JIIA). The Komodo II is capable of receiving video streams from up to 4 CoaXPress links in single, dual, or quad modes. It is used for simultaneous capture from up to four single-link cameras. Each link supports standard CoaXPress bitrates up to 12.5 Gbps including 13W PoCXP. This CoaXPress 12G Frame Grabber is ideally suited for industrial, defense, and aerospace Machine Vision Systems and applications.
The Komodo II can easily receive video streams on the CoaXPress 12G links and transmit them to computer memory through the PCIe interface. It provides GPIO for machine control signals, such as triggers, shaft encoders, exposure control, and general I/O, which can be controlled aside from video stream acquisition. We are proud to be able to supply the Komodo II 4CH, along with other top-quality frame grabbers, cameras, range extenders, and other many products that are in current use around the globe. KAYA will continue to assure its' customers stability, reliability, and efficiency.
